  • To provide students with the opportunities of extracurricular activities while enriching their experiences and improve their language skills, the English Language Competitions like ‘Essay, Impromptu Talk Round-table Discussion’ were annually held at YUEco as the university level until 2019. In fact, these events provide students with a platform to display and improve their English skills. Currently, only the English essay competition for the commemoration of ‘tourism’ is being held annually. We edit contents of the articles submitted and help the committee manage the production process smooth and fast by taking the effective delegation of tasks for English Section.

This gives some direction to students’ effort in studying English by informing them where they are in terms of English language proficiency and how far they need to go to become fluent in language use and become an expert user.
  • For recognition and honoring of retired teaching staff for services done to the YUECO education community, the Department of English contributes in cash and kinds to such events where retired service personnel are paid obeisance. We actively participate in the paying homage ceremony for all the retired teachers of YUEco held annually to show our co-operation.
