Ma Phyu Phyu Twin is a fourth-year student, specializing in Public Administration at the Yangon University of Economics (Hlaing Campus). She joined Saitama University’s Summer Program (2019) in June with JASSO Scholarship and in September she participated in the Aalen University’s Exchange Program, during which she was awarded Baden-Württemberg Scholarship. Since she lived with a host family while in Japan, she was able to immerse herself with the local culture. Nevertheless, she decided to live in a dormitory in Germany with the hope of experiencing a different college student life than in Myanmar. Returning from both programs, she finds herself becomes more independent and confident. She believes programs helped her improve physically and mentally. Those were the best opportunities for her to see the world with new eyes. They also broaden her personal perspectives on religions, food and cultural traditions as well as strengthening her international relationships.
